Chris Harrison continues to drop bombshells regarding Mike Fleiss
Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison continues to drop bombshells about the franchise creator Mike Fleiss. After calling him a narcissist. He even went so far as to call him “severely” narcissistic. The statement about him being a narcissist comes after Fleiss departed the series following another investigation into workplace conduct.
Now, Chris is sharing more behind-the-scenes details about Fleiss with former Bachelor Sean Lowe. Sean appeared on Harrison’s podcast this week where the subject of Fleiss came to light once again. The conversation shifted to After Paradise which was the live follow-up show for Bachelor in Paradise. The live add-on only lasted two seasons with Harrison hosting the first one in 2015.
When it came to the 2016 after show, Harrison wasn’t given the gig. Instead, Sean stepped in with Michelle Collins as cohost. Until now Sean did not know the reasons he was actually put on as host. Chris shared that what Sean had been told was 100 percent not true. What was he told?
Sean was told that due to scheduling conflicts, Chris would be unable to fulfill his After Paradise hosting duties. Harrison says that is not true. Essentially they allegedly lied to Sean about why he was there.
What really happened?
Chris shared that Fleiss was not happy he was hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ? While the show posed no threat to The Bachelor franchise, the network was not happy. Therefore, Chris said they took him off the live show to send a message to him that he can totally be replaced if they feel the need to do so.
Chris said, “So to kind of send a message to me, right after that, in the middle of that — we had knock-down, drag-out, blow-up fights and negotiations about this — they call me… They’re like, ‘Hey, you know, we just feel like it’s kind of too inside-baseball for you to host those after-shows, so we’re going to bring Sean in.’ That was an absolute shot across the bow of like, ‘Hey pal, you can be replaced at any time. We want to put you in your place.'”
Harrison also said it was Fleiss who personally called him to tell him he would not be hosting After Paradise.
Chris Harrison also reassured Sean that he had no ill will towards him for taking on the hosting role. Sean reiterated he had no idea they were trying to send a message to Chris only that he had other obligations. Harrison said, “What they told you was an absolute lie. 100 percent not true.”
