Kelly Ripa Unimpressed With Husband’s Performance As New Ryan

As fans know Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest’s final episode as co-hosts of LIVE aired recently. Kelly Ripa’s hunky husband Mark Consuelos has stepped in as her replacement co-host. Despite being the man she shared a life and children with, the blonde bombshell had no problem ripping Mark Consuelos on his first performance as a replacement for Ryan Seacrest.

During his first day as Ryan Seacrest’s replacement, the 51-year-old shared a funny story about a time he went to New York with their daughter Lola (who is now 21).

Prior to heading to the art gallery, Lola took the time to give her parents a really stern warning. Here’s what he recalled her saying, “The receptionist is going to look at you, and she’s not going to be very nice.”

Kelly Ripa added: “They’re going to treat you like scum.”

Mark Consuelos also recalled being such a hit with Lola’s friends at the art gallery. He remembered charming them and watching them flash smiles at him.

Unimpressed, Kelly remembered the story and her “bougie” husband a bit differently.

She clarified: “You behave in a way that is so bougie and ridiculous.”

Despite their daughter’s warning, Kelly Ripa tells viewers that everyone loved her husband and he was “treated well” and not in the manner their daughter believed they would be treated.

How did viewers feel about him as Ryan’s replacement?

As fans know, Ryan Seacrest has sat beside Kelly Ripa for the last six years. During his last episode, Kelly told Ryan that he did an incredible job of making everyone love him over the past few years. So, it was a sad moment for everyone to see him leave the show. Unsurprisingly, it was a bittersweet moment for Kelly as saying goodbye to Ryan meant saying hello to Mark. So, she would get to do her job while spending even more time with her husband.

Two hours ago, Kelly Ripa took to Instagram to share her first (and second) selfies with her husband during his first day on the show. In the comments, there seemed to be a pretty warm welcome for Mark Consuelos. Unsurprisingly, there were also a lot of fans who were still just super bummed that Ryan was no longer part of the show.
