‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’: Learn About Deckhand Chase Lemacks
Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans want to learn more about Chase Lemacks. The new deckhand made his debut on Monday’s premiere. The Parsifal III crew includes fan favorites and fresh faces. Keep on reading to learn more about the deckhand.
Who is Chase Lemacks?
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 premiered on Monday, August 10. A new season is back with Captain Glenn Shephard running the helm. He’s been part of the show since its debut in February 2020. It had a whole different vibe and crew then.
From there, BDSY became synonymous with familiar faces, first mate Gary King, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, and chief engineer Colin McRae. There are two new teams with exterior and interior crew members. Per BravoTV.com, Chase Lemacks is one of the deckhands on the exterior team. He hails from Charleston, South Carolina.
He loves to spend his time at the water in his hometown. Chase decided to embark on a career in yachting since it was the perfect choice for him. He has dreams about sailing around the world and running his own charters. Chase admits that he also got into the industry to make a lot of money.
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht newbie first started working in yachting in 2019. He gained experience working on large motor yachts. However, he’s new to this type of yachting. Chase admitted that he’s green at his job. Unfortunately, Gary didn’t appear in the premiere episode.
He told Captain Glenn that he tested positive for COVID. Gary FaceTimed the captain from his bed at home. Chase is quickly realizing that it’s going to be challenging without a first mate leading the way. He will have to learn how to navigate his job as Colin temporarily steps in for Gary.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4: Too overconfident?
Chase might also butt heads with Gary this season. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 reunion teased that he might be hard to manage. Fans quickly learned that Chase has an energetic personality. Gary wants respect from his crew, but that might be impossible with Chase.
Eventually, Gary will make his return on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. Chase’s goal is to prove himself as a deckhand. He has seasoned experience working with smaller boats. That won’t work in the yachting industry.
Over time, Chase will become too overconfident. There will be a point where he doesn’t want to listen to Gary. In one part of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 trailer, Chase says, “I do not know how long I can put up with this.” It’s likely that he could quit or get fired this season.
