Wait — Did ‘My 600-Lb. Life’ Season 11 End Already?
Has My 600-Lb. Life Season 11 already drawn to a close?
This is a question that many fans are asking themselves lately since TLC appeared to stop airing new episodes. The last episode to air came out on March 22 and followed Patrick Macon. Since then, the show has been noticeably absent from its Wednesday night time slot.
So what’s going on? Did TLC choose to end My 600-Lb. Life Season 11 early?
Fans grow impatient waiting for My 600-Lb. Life to continue
As TV Shows Ace previously noted, it’s sometimes tricky to know when exactly My 600-Lb. Life is over for the season. Other reality shows on TLC have clear-cut endings. But since each episode of My 600-Lb. Life follows a different patient, they all look very similar to one another.
But there hasn’t been a new episode in several weeks. On top of that, TLC assigned the Wednesday night time slot to the new season of Dr. Pimple Popper. So will there be any new episodes in Season 11?
However, it’s very important to note that an average season of My 600-Lb. Life has at least 10 episodes. Season 7 even had 20. Season 10 had 15 episodes, which is why it seems odd for TLC to cut the season short at just eight episodes.
TLC also notoriously keeps all cancelations and renewals quiet until the very last second. So for the time being, fans have plenty of reason to hold out hope.
For the time being, it doesn’t seem like Dr. Now or his patients are going anywhere anytime soon.
There’s no way to know for certain, but it appears that My 600-Lb. Life Season 11 is just on a midseason break. If it follows the pattern of Season 10, about half of the episodes have already been aired.
It would make perfect sense if TLC is holding onto the last seven or eight episodes to share at a later date. But for now, fans will have to stay tuned for more news and updates.
In the meantime, viewers can revisit their favorite patients from the season
Fans may have to wait sometime before the next episode of My 600-Lb. Life airs, but there’s still plenty of time to catch up on the Season 11 episodes.
This year, there have been a wide variety of different cases. Chris P. in particular has been a fan favorite.
Although Dr. Now strongly encouraged Chris P. to undergo bariatric surgery, he refused. Instead, he made enormous lifestyle changes and got his mother and brother on board. They started eating healthy meals together and enjoying walks together as a family. All three managed to significantly shed weight by the end of the episode.
