‘Love Island USA’ Currently Casting For New Season
Love Island USA is returning in 2023 for its next season. There is a casting call going out across the United States for people looking to find love and win some money.
Here is what we know about the next season of the hit reality show that streams on Peacock.
Love Island USA looking for the next contestants
Love Island USA is prepping for the new season and is currently casting for the show. Several casting calls went out for the show across the United States with information about the upcoming season of the show.
The casting call is through an official website from Casting Crane, and the first thing a person has to do is say they are over 18. People wanting to be on the show then give all their main info, including their name, previous names they used, nicknames, height, weight, age, and place of residence.
The application then asks for information including what the person does for a living, if they have an educational degree, if they have a passport, their social media handles, and what genders the people usually date. This could play into the idea of Love Island possibly adding opportunities for same-sex couples to the show. There is also a question about Only Fans and appearances on an adult film site.
There are then personal questions. The application wants to know about past relationships, reasons for breakups, the person’s thoughts on love, situationships vs relationships, and the idea for an ideal partner. It also wants to know why the applicant feels they could be a good boy/girlfriend.
Finally, it asks about past criminal charges and vaccination updates. The person then uploads three photos of themselves from the last year and then they have to sign the release forms. It then says the show will film between June and August 2023.
Love Island USA saw great success on Peacock
Many Love Island USA fans thought the show would tank when it moved from regular television to a streaming service. However, the opposite happened. According to the casting call announcement in The Tennessean, Love Island USA was the most streamed original unscripted series in Summer 2022.
News Channel 8 (ABC) in Tulsa wrote that the casting is calling out for “relatable” people who represent all parts of the country. It looks like this upcoming season will want as diverse a cast as possible, although when looking for long-term love, having two people from different parts of the country might make that hard to last.
The winners from Love Island USA Season 3 lived across the country from each other and they couldn’t make it work. Even with Korey Gandy moving from the East Coast to Arizona to be closer to Olivia Kaiser, they still ended up breaking up a short time after the show ended.
