Oliver Saunders Defends Raquel Leviss Amid Sandoval Affair

Oliver Saunders supports Raquel Leviss

Oliver Saunders is sharing her support for Raquel Leviss amid the backlash. Garcelle Beauvais’ oldest son spoke out on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast with David Yontef. He thinks Raquel got too much hate for her affair with Tom Sandoval, who was in a long-term relationship with Ariana Madix.

“It wasn’t the right thing to do to one of her friends,” Oliver Saunders said on Monday’s episode. “It’s not the right thing to do to somebody, but it’s like, she’s living her life. Everybody makes mistakes, you know?”

He called it “crazy” that “so many people want to crucify her” over the affair. Oliver feels that people shouldn’t judge Raquel Leviss because of the “Scandoval.” He thinks their months-long affair was a “mistake” and continued to share those same sentiments. Oliver says it’s “human” to “make mistakes.”

There’s a reason why he understands why Raquel had an affair with a taken man. He was still married to his now-estranged wife Samantha Saunders when he made out with the former pageant queen last year. The Pump Rules Season 10 cameras were rolling at the time. Raquel and Oliver met at Vanderpump à Paris, at his place of work.

At the time, she was on a girl’s trip with Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, and Kristina Kelly. Lala had a thing for Oliver but allowed Raquel to hook up with him. Lala found it a “red flag” when he said he was “separated” and didn’t mention his other children. Raquel went for it and made out with him at the club later that night.

Same time as the Tom Sandoval affair?

Fans are trying to put the pieces together this season. They want to know when Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval started hooking up. It’s been claimed that it took place around August 2022. Raquel could’ve been secretly involved with Sandoval during that time.

Oliver claims he was “separated” during the time of their make-out session. However, Samantha revealed on Instagram they weren’t. Oliver filed for divorce thereafter. Peter Madrigal also made out with Raquel Leviss this season.

The SUR manager had choice words for her. He called her “manipulative.” Peter feels that Raquel used him to cover up her affair with Sandoval. Oliver doesn’t think Raquel “used” him as a pawn. Yet, he feels there are “pros and cons” to filming a reality show.
