‘DWTS’: Carrie Ann Inaba’s Emergency Surgery, What Happened?
As far as anyone knows, Carrie Ann Inaba will return to Dancing With The Stars this fall. However, it may largely boil down to her health at the end of the day.
The 55-year-old judge has always been open and honest about her health issues and battles with autoimmune diseases. But recently, she shared that she also just had to have an emergency surgery.
What happened to Carrie Ann Inaba? Will she be alright?
Carrie Ann Inaba thanks her life-saving healthcare team
Carrie Ann Inaba is a strong advocate for rest and relaxation. In fact, she routinely takes social media breaks to recharge and focus on her own wellness.
But things aren’t quite going according to plan at the moment.
The professional dancer was just in urgent care in December for a cracked rib. Sadly, she’s back in the hospital after a scary bout of appendicitis.
Carrie Ann Inaba uploaded an Instagram video to share the news with her followers.
“Special shout out to the wonderful staff of doctors, nurses and aides at @cedarssinai for taking such good care of me. πππππΌππΌππΌ” she captioned the video. “I had an emergency appendectomy last week and while itβs been quite a painful experience, I also know itβs a gift to even feel this pain. I realize after speaking with my doctor that it could have been much worse.π₯Ή”
“Appendicitis attacks happen suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere. And when you are in that much pain, the last thing you want to do is go anywhere. And when you have autoimmune disease, you are often having strange health occurrences that no one can explain or help you with so sometimes, you try to wait it out, like I did,” she continued.
Carrie Ann went on to admit that she was wrong to wait. She wishes she would have gone straight to the hospital when her abdomen started hurting or when she started to throw up violently. The judge ended the post by urging others to take action if they have abdominal pain like she did.
Fans and friends rally around the judge during her hospital stay
Carrie Ann Inaba might be in rough shape right now, but her fans and followers are so thankful that she’s going to pull through.
“Get well soon β€οΈ I had that a few years ago. Glad you got it taken care of ππΌ Feel better,” her fellow judge Derek Hough wrote in the comments.Β
“Hope you feel better! Glad you caught it in timeπ” pro dancer Pasha Pashkov added.Β
With any luck, Carrie Ann Inaba will get to go home soon. And hopefully, there won’t be any more hospital stays in her future.
