Teresa Giudice Defends Husband Luis Ruelas In New Pajamagate Controversy
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has stepped in to defend her husband Luis ‘Louie’ Ruelas after a comment he made about wearing her deceased father’s pajamas prompted some fans of the show to give him a serious side-eye. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Is Louie Ruelas Really Wearing His Father-In-Law’s Pajamas?
In a new teaser trailer for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Louie appears to have a heated confrontation with Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga. Apparently, Louie was trying to garner a little sympathy from his brother-in-law but the conversation took an awkward turn after the businessman admitted to wearing his dead father-in-law Giancito Gorga’s pajamas around the house.
While explaining that he was trying to play a huge role in Teresa’s family life, Louie said, “I live with your four nieces. I wear your father’s pajamas at night to make them feel safe and loving. Do you know that?”
That admission didn’t sit too well with many The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans who seemed a little disturbed by Louie’s comment. Needless to say, it didn’t take very long for Teresa Giudice to defend her husband and explain that the pajamas that he has been wearing were brand new pajamas that were simply purchased while her father was still alive. In a statement to People magazine, Teresa said, “Those were brand new … My dad had brand new clothes that he never used. And that was just a brand new pair of pajamas that I said, ‘Babe, these are new pajamas that my dad never used.’ … So I think it came out the wrong way.”
Teresa added, “They were brand new pajamas that I just gave him. He had a lot of clothes that my dad did not wear and I gave them away. So for instance, that was the only thing I gave Luis was a pair of pajamas that my dad never used. They were, I think Ralph Lauren that he never used. They weren’t his actual pajamas that my dad wore.”
Teresa Giudice Says That Louie Just Wants To Be Accepted By Her Family
The reality television star also said that Louie was simply trying to explain to Joe that he wasn’t a threat to him and that he simply wanted to be a part of their family. Teresa put it this way, “I feel bad for him. I know he was trying so hard to just wanting my brother, wanting to love my brother and vice versa. And he was just coming from a good place. I see that. And that’s what makes me love him even more because he’s been nothing but amazing to me and my daughters.”
So far Joe himself has not made any comments about pajamagate. However, there’s a good chance that he will have something to say about the matter during the next episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13, which airs Tuesdays on the Bravo network. In the meantime, let us know what you think about Louie’s comments.
