Jax Taylor Tells Tom Sandoval: ‘Humble Yourself’

Jax Taylor wants his former best friend Tom Sandoval to “humble” himself. He addressed the Vanderpump Rules cheating scandal that has everyone buzzing. Jax and his wife Brittany Cartwright admitted they’re not surprised by Sandoval’s infidelity. Even though Jax hasn’t been on the Bravo series for years, he still has thoughts on the matter.

He’s also good friends with most of the cast. Sandoval and Jax have attended the same parties together, where he’s also come across Raquel Leviss. He’s also still close to Scheana Shay and Lala Kent. The former star about Sandoval’s affair with Raquel. Jax also talked about Sandoval’s ego.

Slams Tom Sandoval’s ego

In his interview with ET Online, Jax Taylor talked about Tom Sandoval’s cover band. He feels that the VPR Season 10 co-star needs to “come down to earth.” Jax claims that his ex-friend’s ego is the reason why he cheated on Ariana. That’s when he referred to his side project, Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras, and his new restaurant Schwartz & Sandy’s.

“What people don’t see, she’s put up with a lot,” Jax Taylor explained, referring to Ariana Madix. “He’s not the easiest person to be around, so, you know, just humble yourself a bit.”

Jax admits that he’s made mistakes on and off the show. He claims that fame has gone to Sandoval’s head. The former SUR bartender doesn’t understand why Sandoval needs all of these different ventures. Jax says his former co-star should move on form this situation by “show[ing] some sympathy.”

The other problem Jax sees is that Sandoval wanted to “control” Ariana in their relationship. Since she’s a “very strong” and “independent woman,” Sandoval had no say in their relationship. Jax thinks the reason why Sandoval cheated with Raquel is that “he can control [her] very easily.”

“She’s very easily manipulated, and you can control her like that just by looking at her…” Jax Taylor explained. “She’s very controllable, you can just tell she’s very co-dependent. She’s the definition of co-dependency.”

Jax Taylor sees the signs now

He hasn’t spoken to Sandoval since the news broke earlier this month. However, Jax Taylor sees the signs now. He recalls times when Sandoval and Raquel were together a lot. He didn’t think much of it then.

The last time they interacted was on Labor Day in 2022. They both attended “an event in Orange County.” At the time, Jax felt it “kind of makes sense” that Sandoval attended the soiree with Raquel. Now, that he’s looking back, he can see the pieces coming into place.

Jax Taylor didn’t notice it at the time. Now, he’s realizing that it’s starting to make sense. He’s starting a podcast with Brittany called When Reality Hits, which debuts on Tuesday, March 28 on PodCastOne. Jax wants to interview “other villains on reality TV.”
