Bringing Up Bates stars Lydia and Trace Bates shared their baby news with their loved ones in a very cute and special way. Of course, the parents-to-be are very excited about their future and couldn’t wait to tell their friends and family the big news. Now, fans can watch the video to see how they did it. As TV Shows Ace reported, Trace and Lydia recently told fans that their first baby is on the way. The couple tied the knot in October 2022 and will welcome their first child to the world in September 2023. To announce the news to fans, the couple dropped a YouTube video that included footage of Lydia taking several pregnancy tests. She was in denial, but she eventually realized she actually is pregnant. She also recorded herself sharing the news with Trace, which was a very sweet moment.
After finding out about their baby on the way, the couple decided it was time to tell their loved ones!

Their newest YouTube video included footage of them telling both Lydia’s parents and Trace’s parents. They happened to be celebrating Trace’s birthday at her parents’ house, so they simply brought a cake that featured a note about Baby Bates coming in September. This is the first grandchild for Lydia’s parents, so it’s a big deal. They seemed pretty excited but stayed calm.
Then, it was time for the Bates family to find out. Lydia and Trace shared their big news with the Bates family at their “I Love You Day” party. They brought in a huge box, which was filled with mylar heart balloons. One said, “Baby,” while another included the due date. Josie Bates’ husband Kelton Balka opened the box and showed off the balloons. It looked like there was some brief confusion about which Bates was pregnant, but Gil and Kelly Jo quickly figured it out. Despite this being the 26th Bates grandchild, Kelly Jo and Gil were still as happy as ever.

In the comments section of Trace and Lydia’s new video, fans are sending lots of love their way. It looks like the heart balloon idea was very well received by their YouTube viewers. One fan said, “That’s an amazing way to announce that you are pregnant. I love how the bates get excited for all of the new babies.”
Someone else added, “It was lovely seeing both families so excited. Congratulations to you both.”
Hopefully, Lydia’s pregnancy goes smoothly and the baby arrives safely in September. Fans can’t wait to “meet” the newest addition.
