Josh Duggar Prison Release Date Moved, What Happened?
Josh Duggar’s prison release date has now been moved. The oldest of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s children is currently behind bars, and now, his timeline has changed. Has he racked up more time, or is he getting out earlier than planned? Keep reading for all of the details.
In the spring of 2021, Josh was arrested on child pornography charges. He went to trial and was found guilty. Later, he was sentenced to 12-and-a-half years behind bars. He’s currently serving his time at FCI Seagoville, which is located in Texas. While he’s been behind bars, he has had several visits from his wife Anna Duggar, and their seven children. Despite his crimes, it looks like his wife is still sticking by his side.
As the Duggar family continues to lay low on social media, few details have been revealed abut Josh Duggar’s time in prison. But now, more information has been discovered.

Now, things are changing, and fans assume this has something to do with Josh being caught with a phone.
Josh Duggar’s Prison Release Date Moved
On Reddit, a Duggar snarker shared their recent findings about Josh Duggar’s prison release date. The date has been moved.
Below, you can see two screenshots that were taken from the inmate search feature on the Bureau of Prisons website. In the first screenshot, Josh Duggar’s prison release date is listed as 8/12/2032. However, it’s since been changed to 8/22/2032. Though it’s only an extra 10 days, this seems to suggest that Josh truly did get caught with a phone.
It looks like he may have previously earned good behavior credits but had them taken away when he was caught with the phone. This may explain why there are an extra 10 days tacked onto his sentence.
One Duggar critic stated, “There’s no way he’s going to be able to abide by the terms of his release if he’s already breaking the rules in jail.”
Someone else added, “I love to think Anna had a ‘release date❤️’ on a calendar for the previous date and now has to change it.”
So, does it surprise you that Josh Duggar’s prison release date was moved? Do you suspect it will be changed again in the future? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more news about the Duggar family.
