Raquel Leviss issues apology

On Wednesday, March 8, Raquel Leviss issued a statement via Entertainment Tonight. She apologized to her friends, Pump Rules castmates, and Ariana Madix for the cheating scandal. The SUR-ver also revealed that she wants to focus on her mental health during this time. Raquel explained that she doesn’t want to consider herself a “victim,” but she has been through a lot in the past few days.

“Although I chose to be on a reality show accepting the good and bad that comes with it, beyond my own actions I have been physically assaulted, lost friendships, received death threats and hate emails in addition to having my privacy violated,” Raquel Leviss wrote. “I have begun counseling to end my unhealthy behavioral cycle, learn to set stronger emotional boundaries, and learn to protect my mental health.”

She reposted the same statement on her Instagram feed. At first, Raquel wrote in her caption: “I’m so sorry” with sad eyes and broken heart emojis. VPR fans called her out for using emojis in her apology. She left up the statement but removed the caption from her Instagram post.

Addresses Tom Sandoval romance?

Raquel Leviss returned to Instagram to share another statement. This time, she seemingly addressed her romance with Tom Sandoval. Raquel said she doesn’t want to put a label on their affair. However, she has real feelings for him and wants to remain friends.

“Besides the indefensible circumstances surrounding our relationship, my feelings for Tom have always been sincere and born out of a loving friendship,” Raquel Leviss wrote on Thursday, March 9. “Knowing how many people were hurt, I need to understand my choices and learn to make better ones. I need to take care of my health, work on my self-growth and take time to be ok with being alone.”

She admitted that she still “cares for Tom,” but she doesn’t “want to label anything or predict what lies ahead.” For now, Raquel Leviss is focused on her healing. This comes amid the reports that she’s been avoiding his phone calls and text messages. Sources say Raquel is ghosting Sandoval as she spends time with her family on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
