On Thursday’s broadcast of The View, the panel shared their parenting fears. The show has moved on without Whoopi Goldberg as moderator this week. Fans agree that the talk show is smoother without her. During the conversation, Sunny Hostin admitted that she’s a controlling mom.

It’s gotten worse now that her daughter has learned how to drive. Sunny claims that she’s a constant “worrier.” Her anxiety has made her more controlling. It’s her way of trying to control the situation.

“What I learned is that you really wear your heart out on your sleeve,” Sunny Hostin shared. “I’m a worrier. To take care of that worry, I was a very structured tiger mom as everybody knows. I still to this day worry about everything, every moment. Paloma just started driving, I’m like, ‘Arghhh!'”

Sunny admitted there are times when she’ll follow her daughter. Her co-host Sara Haines joked that Paloma is probably calling her father and saying, “Some weird woman’s behind me, I don’t know what to do!” Sunny’s confession came as a shock to the fans at home.

“I worry, one day, about Gabriel coming home from school,” Sunny Hostin explained. “He’s never met a stranger, he wants to party with everybody and someone’s going to look at that 6-foot-2 black kid that’s wearing his hair in braids and call the police.”
