On Welcome to Plathville Season 4, viewers watched Kim and Barry’s marriage unravel. She made it known that she was no longer happy and began sleeping on the couch. Later, she ended up staying at their rental properties to get the space she needed. In June 2022, the couple publicly announced that they are divorcing.
Because Kim and Barry aren’t on social media, fans don’t get many updates about them when the show isn’t airing on TLC. However, the kids occasionally include Barry in their posts, and fans are always thrilled to see him doing so well.
Despite steering clear of social media for years, it looks like Kim Plath might have changed her mind.

On Reddit, a fan reposted a few snaps from Kim Plath’s Facebook profile and explained what is going on. They said that she is “evidently in a relationship with Isaac’s flight instructor. She commented that he was a ‘hottie’ on his profile photo update a couple weeks ago- and he has her listed under ‘in a relationship.’”
Another Reddit user claimed that they saw Kim at a restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida. They noted that she was with a “guy that is not her husband.” Later, they followed up with more details. The fan said:
“The bartender at the restaurant where we ran into Kim and her boyfriend at 2 weeks ago said the kids joined the pair for Valentine’s Dinner off camera this week. She also confirmed that the boyfriend is the guy linked in the last post comments.”
Based on the social media clues and the source who happened to see Kim and this man together, it looks like she might officially be over Barry.
It’s possible that Kim’s profile isn’t hers after all and that it’s just someone impersonating her. Fans will have to wait for official confirmation to find out what’s really happening here.
