Over the weekend, Christie Brinkley took to Instagram to share two new photos of herself. She revealed that she still fits in the classic swimsuit she wore for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The blonde beauty wore a navy blue one-piece bathing suit that she purchased for that shoot. Christie smiled as she posed against her bike on the beach.

She paired the look with a floppy hat and turquoise thong sandals. The supermodel smiled at the camera. In the other photo, she struck up a pose as she popped out her right knee. Christie tilted her head to the side and smiled at the camera.

The Dancing with the Stars alum looked happy to fit into her old swimsuit. In her lengthy caption, Christie revealed that she could still fit into it. The swimsuit holds a lot of meaning for her since it’s the one she wore on the cover of the highly-coveted SI Swimsuit Issue.

“My bathing suit is from the 80’s and in the blink of an eye, a decade can pass and I’ll be pushing 80… because time flies when you’re having fun and I am ‘WHEELY’ having a great time!” Christie Brinkley wrote in her caption. “I can see by some comments, the way I worded my post confused people about my age. I just had my 69th birthday on Feb 2, and it literally feels like yesterday that I was celebrating my Big Five Oh!”

Christie Brinkley wasn’t doing this for bragging rights. She wanted to share an inspirational message in her Instagram post. The model reminded her fans and followers “about the importance of making time for fun,” no matter what age you happen to be. Christie wants to still enjoy her life.

“Joy is good for your health your heart and your soul so schedule it in, squeeze it in, grab it at every opportunity, create it! Whatever your age… You will be happy you did!” Christie Brinkley concluded her message.
