Is Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ Reality Series Rigged?
Netflix’s Squid Game reality series is being called out by contestants as rigged and cruel. After being bashed for negligence and safety violations, the biggest realty show is now being bashed for its rigged gameplay. Several players are also considering legal action against the streamer and the production studios. So, how is Squid Game: The Challenge rigged? Keep reading to find out the details!
Squid Game Reality Show Is The Biggest In Reality TV History
After the massive success of the original series Squid Game, the reality spin-off was first announced in June 2022. Netflix even claimed that this show is the largest in terms of cast and lump-sum cash prize in the history of reality TV. The challenge requires 456 players to compete against one another in pursuit of a cash prize of $4.56 Million.

However, fans are describing that the reality spin-off is exactly the same as the TV series minus the deaths and killings. Although the show doesn’t murder its losing participants, early reports from contestants that lost in the initial Red Light Green Light game suggest that the filming conditions are extremely brutal.
Squid Game Players Claim At Least 10 Players Fainted
According to various players, medics made it to the show’s set on Monday after contestants fainted due to freezing temperatures. Many claimed that at least 10 people collapsed during the filming.
“Medics took ages to reach the players because producers were worried about the camera shots being ruined. As a solution, masked people in pink jumpsuits were sent out on the floor with black coffins and positioned themselves to block out the medics attending to the fallen player- all while the rest of the contestants remained frozen in place,” said an ex-contestant.

The show is currently being filmed at Bedford’s Cardington Studios in England which was previously a hangar on a former Royal Air Force base.
Is Squid Game Rigged Towards High-Profile Participants?
Now several anonymous former participants, as reported by ComicBook, have claimed that the show is rigged. One of these contestants claimed, “It was just the cruelest, meanest thing I’ve ever been through. We were a human horse race, and they were treating us like horses out in the cold racing and the race was fixed.”
Many former contestants also alleged that the show is actually skewed toward high-profile participants. This includes the Instagram and TikTok influencers that are a part of the show. These high-profile contestants were completely mic’d up and had rules bent in their favor. On the other hand, several of the eliminated contestants were given dummy microphones.

Some former players claimed that this isn’t a game show, but a TV show where the non-popular contestants are being used as extras.
