LPBW (Little People, Big World) fans are worried that Josiah Roloff will be asphyxiated. A new photo of the little guy has left the family’s followers concerned about his safety. Of course, fans wouldn’t want anything tragic to happen to the nine-month-old baby boy. What is going on with Josiah that has fans so worried? Keep reading for all of the details.
Zach, Tori, Jackson, Lilah, & Josiah Roloff enjoy a Disney trip.
As TV Shows Ace has reported, the Roloffs were at Disneyland last week. On Instagram, Tori shared many photos and videos of the kids, Jackson, 5, Lilah, 3, and Josiah, 9 months, enjoying themselves. It looks like they made awesome family memories together.
While the Roloffs were walking around Disneyland, a YouTube vlogger happened to be at the parks too, and accidentally caught them on video. The YouTuber, Kyle Pallo, uploaded his video and fans spotted Zach and Tori’s family starting at the 3:05 mark.
Below, you can see a screenshot of Zach pushing Josiah in the stroller.
LPBW fans express their fears of possible asphyxiation.
On Reddit, fans are talking about Zach and Tori’s use of the Doona 2-in-1 infant car seat and stroller. It works like a typical infant car seat while in the car. But instead of transferring the car seat to a stroller, you can simply pop the wheels out from the bottom of the car seat and begin using it as a stroller. It’s pretty popular right now due to its convenience. But there are risks.
One fan explained:
“It’s actually a really unsafe stroller to use for anything other than very short time periods because the recline is not adequate for an infant and can cause positional asphyxiation. It’s banned in Canada for this reason.”
Another LPBW viewer added that it’s also banned in Australia. In the U.S. in 2015, 48% of car seat deaths in children under the age of two were due to asphyxiation, according to The Journal of Pediatrics. Today’s Parent notes that this can happen due to babies’ sleeping positions in their car seats. Because infants aren’t sleeping flat on their backs, their chins may rest against their chests, blocking their airways.
Hopefully, Zach and Tori will take their fans’ advice and only use the car seat in the car. LPBW fans are worried that something terrible could happen to Josiah otherwise.
