‘Love Island UK’: Who Is Lana Jenkins?
Season 9 of Love Island UK is back with its second winter season. Now, 25-year-old Lana Jenkins from Luton has joined the hopeful romantics looking for a chance to find their perfect partner.
The show, which initially premiered in 2015, has become a cultural phenomenon in the UK. Millions of viewers tune in each season to watch the contestants navigate the ups and downs of love and relationships.
This season, the cast of Love Island UK has moved to a new location, a luxurious villa in South Africa. More so, it features a diverse cast of contestants from all over the UK. One of them is Lana.

Love Island UK: Who Is Lana Jenkins?
Lana has been turning heads and shaking things up with the boys. Before entering the villa, Lana worked as a make-up artist and with many celebrities.
She has been single for 2.5 years. Jenkins has previously dated Hollyoaks star and I’m a Celebrity finalist Owen Warner in 2020. Speaking on their relationship, she told the press, “We ended amicably, so I have nothing bad to say in terms of our relationship and the time that we spent together.”
What Does Lana Want From Love Island?
Lana has said “I try my best to play hard to get. In the end, I end up caving, I’ve got the worst willpower when it comes to playing hard to get. I’m so excited meeting someone new, getting all the butterflies and all the feelings you feel at first.”
Lana, who is fluent in Spanish, is no stranger to the limelight. With her work as a make-up artist, she has worked with lots of celebrities including Michelle Keegan who she befriended. Michelle is best known for playing Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap opera, Coronation Street.
The two became friends while she was working on the television series called Brassic.
Michelle has shared her support for Lana. On Instagram, she said, “So our girl @lanajenkinss is going into the @loveisland villa. Genuinely one of the nicest girls you’ll ever meet. Go and smash it darlin.”
Lana also worked as an extra on the comedy hit series Benidorm, when she was six years old.
She has also worked on CBBC’s So Awkward, a children’s show that centers around socially awkward teenage girls trying to make sense of life. It is here, that she met her ex-boyfriend, Owen Warner.
