Lisa Marie Presley suffered cardiac arrest in her home and was rushed to a hospital. Here is what we know about this scary event.
Lisa Marie Presley suffers cardiac arrest
TMZ broke the news that Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of rock and roll icon Elvis Presley, suffered a cardiac arrest in her home on Thursday, January 12. According to the site, this was a “full arrest” and the paramedics had to use CPR at her home in Calabasas before rushing her to the hospital. The report also indicates that someone administered epinephrine to help her regain her pulse.
The paramedics were able to regain her pulse before transporting her to the hospital. There is no current word on her condition. This is also shocking news because Presley was at the Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday night when Austin Butler won the Globe for playing her father in the movie Elvis.
At the ceremony, Butler actually paid tribute to both Lisa Marie and her mother Priscilla, who was also in attendance. “The Presley family, thank you, guys, for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever.” After the event, Lisa Marie posed for photos with her mom and Butler.

Who is Lisa Marie Presley?
Lisa Marie Presley, 54, is the only child of Elvis Presley. Born in 1968 to Presley and Priscella Presley, she went on to have a successful career in both the music industry and as an actor. She also was connected to high-profile celebrities in her romantic life. She was married to Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996 and to Nic Cage from 2002 to 2004.
Lisa Marie also had four children. She has daughter, Riley, and son, Benjamin, with her first husband Danny Keough. She also has twin girls Harper and Finley with her fourth husband Michael Lockwood. Benjamin died by suicide in 2020 at 27.

At the time of Benjamin’s death, Lisa Marie said she was “destroyed” by the loss. “I already battle with and beat myself up tirelessly and chronically, blaming myself every single day and that’s hard enough to now live with,” she wrote. “Nothing, absolutely NOTHING takes away the pain, but finding support can sometimes help you feel a little bit less alone.”
Lisa Marie also ran Elvis Presley Enterprises until 2005, but she sold the entire portfolio and business at that time. However, she still owns Graceland, the famous Elvis Presley estate that offers tours for fans to this day.
Riley praised her mother in an interview with PEOPLE, writing, “I was raised by somebody who did their own thing and didn’t really care what other people thought. She was definitely inspirational to me.”
