Duggar fans are livid after listening to Jinger Vuolo’s holiday message. The former Counting On star took to social media this week ahead of Christmas and shared something special with fans. But it was not well-received. Keep reading for all of the details.
Jinger Vuolo Shares Holiday Message
On Tuesday, Jinger posted a short video on Instagram, talking about her new book and acknowledging the upcoming holidays. The Duggar daughter recently announced that she wrote a book called Becoming Free Indeed, which details her deconstruction from the belief system of the IBLP (Institute of Basic Life Principles). The book is available on Jan. 31, 2023.
However, in her new video, Jinger revealed to Duggar fans that they can begin reading the book now by going to the link in her bio. Those who upload proof that they pre-ordered her book can gain access to the first chapter now.
Before ending her video, the former reality TV star said, “Happy holidays.”

Duggar Fans Are Livid
In the comments section of Jinger’s new video, she’s receiving many negative comments. Fans aren’t happy that she’s “taking Christ out of Christmas” by wishing everyone happy holidays. They wish she would have said, “Merry Christmas” instead, especially because she is a Christian.
Below, you can take a look at some of the comments Duggar fans left on Jinger’s video. One fan asked, “What happened to Merry Christmas?”
Another one of her followers said they are “a little disappointed.”
However, other fans are defending Jinger’s use of happy holidays. Some are pointing out that this includes all of the holidays, like Christmas and New Year’s Day. Fans think she’s simply acknowledging the holiday season as a whole rather than focusing only on Christmas.
One fan notes that Jinger likely would have gotten backlash if she wasn’t inclusive and said, “Merry Christmas.” They know she can’t please everyone and gets hate regardless of what she says or does on social media.
So far, Jinger has not responded to any of the comments on her post and hasn’t addressed all of the negativity.
So, what do you think of Jinger Vuolo’s holiday message? Do you think she was trying to “take Christ out of Christmas,” or do you think she was simply being inclusive? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more news about the Duggar family.
