‘The Voice’ Coaches Make Shocking Amounts Of Money Per Season
The Voice coaches bring in a lot of dough to watch people audition and then mentor them. Obviously, the end goal is for their team to win the season. However, no matter what the outcome, the paycheck is a win either way. So, how much do the coaches make per season? Read on for more details.
The Voice Coaches Make Shocking Amounts Of Money
Most of the coaches dedicate their time on the show to just mentoring and making their team the best. They put everything else on hold. Kelly Clarkson took time this season to focus on her children and her talk show. However, she will be back for Season 23 so that is exciting for Kelly fans. This season saw returning coach John Legend as well as OG Blake Shelton. Joining them was returning coach and Blake’s wife, Gwen Stefani as well as newcomer Camila Cabello.
With them dedicating their time to the show, just how much money do these superstar coaches make each season? According to The Sun, it is estimated that they make around 13 million dollars per season. Rumor has it that this is what Blake, who has been there since the beginning, nets for his time on the series. Allegedly, because he is an OG and has won eight times, the most of any coach, he gets bonuses, as well.
John Legend also rakes in the same as Shelton. With the show airing twice a year, the latter can make 26 million dollars in one year just from The Voice alone. However, it was estimated that Ariana Grande made bank with 25 million dollars for just one season. The hope was that she would bring in an audience that was younger and hipper but that failed.
Coming Back For More
Season 23 will be Blake’s last season of The Voice. Joining him will be Kelly Clarkson who made 14 million dollars for her seasons. Gwen will be exiting but she did collect 10 million dollars to start and ended at around 15 million dollars. This is quite a pretty penny for one season of a show which can help boost fandom for some of the coaches. Both Blake and former original coach landed the cover of People Magazine as Sexiest Man Alive.
It also gives the musicians a chance to promote their new music if they have any during the season that they are coaching. “Moves Like Jagger” came out during the time that Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera were on the show. It became a mass hit for Maroon 5. Therefore, the show is beneficial in more ways than one.
