This past weekend, the Bates family got together for Christmas. They avoid celebrating on Christmas Day to allow their kids to spend the holidays with their in-laws. Because most of the family was in town for the occasion, they decided to have Katie’s baby shower at the same time.
She and her husband Travis Clark are currently expecting their first child. It’s a girl, and her name is Hailey James. She’s due to arrive on March 4, so she will be here pretty soon.

On her Instagram Stories, Katie Bates shared several snaps from the special day. Her siblings and other family members also posted highlights from the shower. The baby shower had a cute and festive gingerbread theme.

Kelly Jo Bates, Katie’s mom, gave Brandon and Michael Keilen a shoutout for finding the theme and decorating for the occasion. She said, “All of the credit goes to @brandon_michael_jn15 The theme and all of the work that Brandon and Michael poured into decorating was phenomenal!”

It looks like everyone loves the color scheme and decorations, as well as the activities. Many appreciate that it’s something different that not everyone has seen before. Michael seemed to steer clear of the more generic baby shower themes.
One fan said, “There was a lot of personal thought in this. A lot of Katie’s favorite things.”
