Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin and Evan Stewart are making special Christmas memories with their kids, Layla and Zade. This Christmas is especially exciting for Carlin and Evan’s family. Their baby boy, Zade Patrick, was born in March and is eight months old now. Since it’s his first Christmas, it’s a pretty big deal. Plus, their daughter Layla Rae is almost three years old and will likely appreciate the holiday season a bit more this year than she has in the past.
Adding to the excitement, this is also Carlin and Evan’s first Christmas in their new home. They moved into the house shortly after Zade’s birth after previously renting an apartment.

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Carlin and Evan Stewart gave fans a peek behind the scenes as they decorated for Christmas. Carlin did most of the posting on her Instagram Stories, showing fans that her family was hanging ornaments on the tree and starting to wrap Christmas presents. She said it was the “sweetest evening” with her family.
The young mother also noted that the tree was “a little bottom heavy,” thanks to Layla’s decorating skills.
In another snap, Carlin gave a peek behind the scenes as she wrapped gifts with her “little helpers.” Carlin and Evan Stewart still have ornaments to hang, but they are excited to report that “it’s starting to feel like Christmas.” She also showed off the handprint, footprint, and fingerprint ornaments they made, noting that these are her “favorite” ornaments.
Then, Evan Stewart shared a cozy view of the living room, showing off the decorated house and the lit fireplace. He wrote, “Decorated the tree with the family today! I’m so blessed with my beautiful wife and kids! They make everyday feel like Christmas!”
