Al Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, was frantic as her husband was rushed back to the hospital via ambulance after being released just 24 hours prior. As TvShowsAce previously reported, many fans of The Today Show wondered if Al Roker’s health issues would cause him to miss the lighting of the Christmas tree at New York City’s Rockefeller Center. On multiple social media platforms, most were in agreement in simply wouldn’t be the same without him.

Learning the news anchor was in the hospital again, hearts broke as the Internet realized his health would prevent him from being at the Christmas tree lighting. His wife, however, did reassure the Internet that her husband was able to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree from a safe difference.

Deborah Roberts shared a saddening photo of what appeared to be a television on the wall of Al Roker’s hospital room. On the TV, her Instagram followers saw the illuminated Christmas tree. There were no words attached to this emotion-invoking photo. But, words weren’t really necessary as Al Roker’s wife was able to say so much without saying anything at all.
