On Friday, November 25, Porsha Williams said “I do” to Simon Guobadia during a traditional wedding that took place under Nigerian law. The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars exchanged vows with the Nigerian-born business owner.

The ceremony took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta. They invited 250 of their friends and family members. It was followed by an American wedding on Saturday, November 26.

“I am so ridiculously excited,” Porsha Williams said in a statement to People. “I am just so ready. I’m not even nervous. I mean, I know I’m marrying the love of my life, and it’s just going to solidify our relationship and our family bond. I’m calm and excited.”

Simon shared that he was a “little nervous” about the two ceremonies. However, he wasn’t having cold feet. Simon shared that the nerves he felt were from reuniting with the friends and family he hasn’t seen in years due to the pandemic. Most of them were in town for the big ceremony.

Porsha Williams also shared that she was “anxious” about the weddings. She had to do seven wardrobe changes over the course of two days. The Bravo star called it a “true fashion extravaganza.” On the first day of the traditional Nigerian wedding, Porsha wore three gowns by designer Lakimmy. She also wore an okuku, a headpiece that featured Benin coral beads.

Porsha changed into two more gowns designed by Tabik. Their guests wore traditional Nigerian garb in the festive colors purple and teal. Meanwhile, Porsha wore one dress in royal blue and the other in gold. The couple provided fabric to their guests to ensure that their clothing matched.

She also wore a beautiful white princess gown for their American wedding. Meanwhile, Simon wore his military uniform. He served in the military in Nigeria. They looked like royalty at their wedding.

She joked that she “should be a stylist after this!” Porsha called the celebration a “beautiful expression of fashion, love, and family.”

The pair announced their engagement in May 2021 after just one month of dating. This concerned Bravo fans at the time.
