‘DWTS’: Jenna Johnson Teases Baby Names For New Baby Boy
DWTS pro Jenna Johnson chose to sit this season out due to her pregnancy. Her little bundle of joy is due in January and she and her husband Val Chmerkovskiy couldn’t be happier. They’re expecting a little boy.
The couple isn’t officially revealing baby Chmerkovskiy’s name yet, but they do have one picked out. Keep reading and see what Jenna had to say.
Jenna Johnson has a name picked out but admits she may change her mind
Jenna Johnson has dreamed of becoming a mother for a while now. She couldn’t hide her disbelief or joy when she realized that she was actually expecting. Parenthood is something that she and her husband have dreamed of for a few years now. In fact, they already picked out baby names a long time ago.
“We actually have had a boy and a girl name picked out for three years now,” the 28-year-old dancer shared with PEOPLE recently. “Val actually picked out the name for our boy, so we have it.”
However, Jenna says she is a visual person, so the name might change once the baby actually arrives. She admitted there’s a chance she will change her mind once she actually sees her son’s face.
Of course, Jenna and Val would be thrilled if their son followed in their footsteps. But they will not force dance on him. They just want him to be his own person.
“If he wants to dance, we will gladly support that. But I don’t want to force anything,” Jenna told PEOPLE. “I don’t want him to have the pressure of both my parents dance, I have to dance.”
But it seems like they may have a little dancer on their hands after all. According to Jenna, her baby is incredibly active and kicks whenever music plays.
Will the dancer ever make her way back to Dancing With The Stars?
Luckily for Jenna Johnson, she’s due to give birth in January. That means she has about nine months before the next season of Dancing With The Stars. And she really wants to return to the ballroom.
“Absolutely. … the show knows that I am in love with it, I still feel like I have many more seasons to give,” the dancer told Parade. “And just because I’m a mom, doesn’t mean that I can’t still be working. I have some really great examples in my life of working moms. And I’ve always seen myself going back to work. So, I would love to be back on the show if they have me. But yeah, I keep a whisper always in their ear of, ‘Next season, next season.’”
