In case you missed the news, Nathan and Esther welcomed their first baby to the world in October. Prior to the birth, the couple announced the baby’s gender and name. It’s a girl, and they named her Kenna Joy.
For a while now, Esther’s hair has been blonde. She had darker hair when she and Nathan Bates shared their first photos together on social media in late 2020 and early 2021. But shortly after, she debuted a blonde look. And now, she’s back with another hair transformation.

On her Instagram Stories this past weekend, Esther shared a new selfie of herself with Nathan Bates. The snap was taken at her brother Aaron’s wedding they attended. She said that they had “so much fun” at the “absolutely BEAUTIFUL.”
In the photo, Esther showed off her new dark hair color. It’s a pretty big change from the blonde color she had while she was pregnant with Kenna. The new mama wore a floral-printed dress, while Nathan Bates chose a gray button-down shirt.

On Reddit, fans reposted Nathan Bates’ wife Esther’s selfie and discussed it. It looks like fans are pretty split on it. Some love it, but others like her better with her blonde hair. Several fans recommended a lighter brown or a warmer shade to complement her skin tone.
Another Bringing Up Bates fan added that colors like this go on darker and fade over the first few weeks. So, Esther’s hair might look better after a little while and a few washes.
In general, fans think Esther is a beautiful young woman. One fan said, “She can pull off different colors, lucky duck! I think I like lighter on her personally, but she looks gorgeous.”
