‘Bringing Up Bates’ Fans Accuse Carlin & Evan Of Exploiting Kids
Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart have been under fire for their recent social media activity. And now, fans have even more to say about it.
It turns out that fans don’t agree with some of the content they have decided to share publicly. In addition to posting regular updates on Instagram, the couple shares weekly YouTube videos to give their followers a closer look at their lives with their kids, Layla, 2 years, and Zade, 7 months. What are fans so upset about now?
Carlin Bates posts a humiliating video of Layla
As TV Shows Ace recently reported, Carlin shared a video clip with fans as her two-year-old daughter pooped in her diaper. Bringing Up Bates fans called Carlin out for posting this for so many people to see. She posted it while asking for potty training advice. But her followers thought that she crossed a line.
They pointed out that she could have asked for tips and tricks without exploiting Layla in this way. This was a private moment that the Bringing Up Bates star broadcast to her 380,000 Instagram followers.
Bringing Up Bates fans claim they’re exploiting their kids
On Reddit, a fan predicted that Carlin and Evan’s next YouTube video will likely be about their recent fall photo shoot with their kids. The family’s YouTube videos are monetized, so they make money based on how many people watch their videos. So, fans are accusing them of using their kids for profit.
The fan went on to say, “Don’t get me wrong. Layla and Zade are both totally adorable but Carlin and Evan using their kids to make $$$ is just wrong.”
Another Bringing Up Bates fan added, “I agree 1000% rather predictable and also downright wrong the way they showcase their kids for profit.”
Someone else chimed in, “The video of Layla last week pooping under the table is where we should have all drawn the line between normal influencer oversharing and straight up exploitation.”
The fan continued, “You’d think that after she grew up on camera, she would want different for her little girl.”
So, do you think that Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart are exploiting their kids to make money? Do you see an issue with their posts, or do you think it’s not actually a big deal? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for the latest Bringing Up Bates news.
