Taylor Swift drops new album

On Friday, October 21, it was a big day at the Good Morning America studios. They geared up for Taylor Swift’s tenth studio album, Midnights. The singer also unveiled her new music video for the album’s lead single “Anti-Hero.” However, many of the familiar faces were missing from the desk.

Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts went missing yet again. A fan favorite of the show returned on Friday to quelch those feelings of the missing co-hosts. Will Reeve, the son of the late Superman star Christopher Reeve, appeared on the morning show. He was there to fill multiple roles and to talk about Taylor Swift’s Midnights album.

He was joined by George Stephanopoulos, Cecilia Vega, and Juju Chang. All of them were excited to get the exclusive news on the singer’s new album. This was her first original release since her surprise 2020 releases Folklore and Evermore. She was focused on re-recording her old music.

“A lot more to come from Taylor! It’s a wholly immersive experience! She’s made music video drops, a challenge tied to her songs, and more,” the Good Morning America host said. “It’s a busy week for Swifties! It’s the Swift-equinox, guys.”

Missing Good Morning America hosts

Despite the big news about Taylor Swift’s new album, Good Morning America viewers couldn’t help but notice two other co-hosts missing again. Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan have been away due to their respective projects. Robin told fans that she was “heading out again” to a state in the shape of a mitten.

Meanwhile, Michael has to take a step back from the talk show due to the busy football season. He’s been hosting FOX NFL Sunday. The former NFL player recently traveled to Jackson, Mississippi to meet with fellow ex-football player Deion Sanders. The two were there to discuss “the big homecoming game.”

Since Michael has football on his mind, he will be away from the show for a while. He was previously missing from Good Morning America on October 10, October 12, and October 16. His co-hosts never gave a reason for his absences. However, it’s clear that he’s been busy with other projects as well. Michael also released his men’s skincare line.
