‘DWTS’: Michael Buble On Preparing For His Guest Judge Gig
Since the pandemic happened, it’s been tough for Dancing With The Stars to have guest judges on the show. But in Season 31, it seems like that will happen. Singer Michael Buble will be performing and guest judging on the October 24 episode. And his best buddy Derek Hough can’t wait to have him on the set.
But what kind of judge will Michael Buble actually be? He recently dished on his plans for hosting and gave an insight into his style.
Michael Buble is over the moon about his upcoming appearance on DWTS
Dancing With The Stars fans may not realize it, but singer Michael Buble and judge Derek Hough are actually very close friends. In previous interviews, Derek revealed that he was behind the push to get Michael on the show in some capacity. The pair can frequently be seen goofing around on social media together.
It seems like Derek Hough’s efforts paid off because Michael Buble is actually getting his own night. He will be a very important part of the October 24 episode. Derek will perform his own routine while the remaining couples perform to Michael’s songs.
But what do Michael’s judging abilities look like?
“I’m watching a lot of Simon Cowell and Judge Judy. So I can be harsh yet fair…” the singer joked on Good Morning America. “I am in no way able to have any critical judging ability. I’m going to be kind and empathetic….because I should not be telling people [how to dance].”
And of course, Michael Buble had to give a shout-out to his best buddy.
“I think I’m more pumped to get to go and perform and be with all those people, and actually be with Derek. Derek is a genius. Anytime I can get work done with him, I’ll do it,” he added.
Fans are excited to see what the top 10 couples will come up with
Selma Blair made the tough decision to drop out of the competition last night and there is expected to be another elimination tonight too. That means the top 10 couples will get a chance to compete on Michael Buble Night.
The set list isn’t out yet, but TV Shows Ace readers can expect to see that up on the site before long. Be sure to check back and see what routines your favorite couples are planning. You really won’t want to miss out!
Michael Buble Night kicks off next Monday night at 8 PM eastern time and 5 PM pacific time. DWTS fans can tune in and watch the remaining contestants battle it out for the top of the leaderboard and a shot at the Mirrorball Trophy. Stay tuned and don’t miss a single DWTS story!
