When Can Fans See Derek Hough Perform On ‘DWTS’?

Dancing With the Stars, Disney Plus, News, Reality TV

Derek Hough still holds the record as the only professional dancer to win six Mirrorball Trophies. But these days, his role on Dancing With The Stars is much more relaxed. These days, Derek just has to judge the contestants and provide feedback. He doesn’t actually have to do much choreographing or rehearsing.

However, it seems like Derek may just spend some time in the rehearsal room this season. The Utah native previously confirmed he will perform at some point this season, but when? Viewers want to know when they can expect to see the decorated pro back in the ballroom.

Derek Hough teases plans for his Season 31 performance

Dancing With The Stars fans love Derek Hough for a wide variety of reasons. He’s kind and gives great feedback that the contestants can actually use in the rehearsal room. On top of that, he’s incredibly fun-loving and enjoys making silly videos with his co-stars.

Derek has been behind the judges’ table for so long that some DWTS fans may forget that he’s also an incredible dancer. Since becoming a judge, Derek does usually make time for at least one performance per season. But what can fans expect from his routine this year?

According to Parade, that will happen on Michael Bublé Night this season.

“Michael Bublé is a dear friend of mine, so I may or may not have made that happen, but he’ll be here,” the 37-year-old told Parade. “He’ll be guest-judging with us, he’ll be performing, and I’ll be creating a whole piece to one of his songs. Actually, I have a meeting after this [interview] to go plan it, how I want to use the cameras and stuff, so it’ll be a big performance coming up.”

So far, Michael Bublé Night is expected to be the October 24 episode. Unless a double elimination happens between now and then, that will be the night that the remaining 11 contestants perform. At the end of the night, there will be 10 couples left.

The DWTS judge starts focusing on wedding plans

When Derek Hough isn’t spending time on the Dancing With The Stars set, he and his fiancee Hayley Erbert are working on their wedding plans. Derek finally proposed this year after spending many happy years together with Hayley. She happily accepted.

During his guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the judge revealed that he wants to do something wild and spectacular for his first dance. He teased that he may just come in through the roof.

In the meantime, fans can catch Derek on tonight’s episode of DWTS, which will be Disney+ Night. Don’t forget to tune in and see all the wonderful routines that the top 13 couples pieced together! You really won’t want to miss out.
