‘DWTS’: Who Went Home During Most Memorable Year Night?
DWTS will have two episodes this week, but one couple still sadly went home during Most Memorable Year Night. Each couple performed well and earned favorable comments from the judges. In a surprise turn of events, one couple had to pull out of the competition early and made Most Memorable Year Night their last.
So who ultimately went home? Keep reading to find out more.
DWTS had a very difficult goodbye tonight
No goodbye on Dancing With The Stars is ever easy. In fact, each couple performed amazingly and most improved their scores. Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev even made it clear that they were coming for the top spot. They managed to tie for third place on the leaderboard tonight.
But for one couple, their journey on Dancing With The Stars came to a tearful end.
During her package, Selma Blair revealed that she was dealing with medical issues and her doctors were forcing her to step away from the competition. She and Sasha tearfully performed one last, gentle routine in the ballroom, knowing it was their last performance.
Their scores ultimately don’t count towards the leaderboard, but the judges unanimously opted to give them a perfect 40/40 — technically the first perfect score of the competition.
Selma admitted that she would love to stay in the competition, but her health just wasn’t allowing it to happen any longer. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Selma addressed the audience and left some parting words. She thanked everyone for letting her perform in the ballroom and thanked the cast as well.
As the credits rolled, the remaining contestants lifted Selma into the air along with her bedazzled cane. It was a night that no viewer will forget anytime soon.
The three-way tie is finally over
DWTS fans are heartbroken that Selma Blair and Sasha Farber are gone but honor her decision to prioritize her health and well-being.
On the other hand, many fans are also excited to see that the three-way tie is finally over. During Most Mermorable Year Night, Heidi D’Amelio and Gabby Windey tied for third. Wayne Brady pulled ahead into second place and Charli D’Amelio shot past everyone to dominate the leaderboard. In fact, she and her partner Mark Ballas were only one point away from a perfect score. Three judges gave them 10s while Len Goodman gave them a 9.
Can Charli and Mark hold on to their top spot? Time will tell. Fans will have to tune into Prom Night and see what happens next.
Dancing With The Stars will present Prom Night tomorrow night at 8 PM eastern time and 10 PM pacific time. Stay tuned and see what unfolds tomorrow!
