Esther is one of three of the Bates family members known to be pregnant right now. She’s due to have her baby girl, Kenna Joy, on October 18. Katie Bates Clark is expecting her first baby, who is also a girl. Her baby, Hailey James is due in March. Alyssa Bates Webster will welcome her fifth baby in May.

In a new Instagram post on Wednesday, Esther celebrated the 39-week milestone in her pregnancy. She shared a handful of photos of herself outside in a field. She posed in a fitted gray skirt with button detailing and a snug black top.
In her caption, Esther excitedly wrote, “We are less than 1 week away from Kenna’s due date! Enjoying feeling all the kicks and wiggles a little longer and SO excited to finally hold her in my arms soon!”

As Esther Bates counts down the final days of her pregnancy, Nathan’s mom, Kelly offered some encouraging words. Kelly has 19 children, so she can certainly relate to Esther. She commented on her daughter-in-law’s post and said:
“So beautiful!!! Can’t wait to meet little Kenna! Praying these last few days aren’t too uncomfortable for you.”
