Joseph Duggar Sells Josh’s Land After Legal Fees Take Toll?
Former TLC’s Counting On star Joseph Duggar allegedly sold a piece of his brother, Josh’s land. Is it possible that this has to do with Josh’s legal fees taking a toll on the family? Keep reading for all of the details.
If you didn’t know, Josh is currently serving 12-and-a-half years behind bars on child pornography charges. He was arrested in the spring of 2021 and was found guilty at the end of his trial in December. He’s now in Seagoville, Texas serving his time.
It looks like his brother, Joseph Duggar, is stepping in to help earn him some more money to cover the legal fees from his trial.
Though it’s unclear just how much Josh and his family spent on attorneys and other legal fees, it’s safe to assume they paid a hefty price. Just recently, Josh’s defense filed an appeal, only adding more money to what they were already owed. Some fans and critics believe Josh’s crimes have dried up Jim Bob Duggar’s funds.
Joseph Duggar sells Josh’s property.
According to Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball, Joseph has sold a piece of Josh’s land. In her post, Katie revealed that Joseph, who is a realtor, listed and sold Josh and Anna’s $455,000 home located in Bella Vista, Arkansas. The lot was purchased by Glasglow Drive, which is one of Josh and Anna’s company’s. They reportedly bought it at $2,000 back in 2020.
Katie Joy believes that Jason Duggar built the home, though this has not been confirmed.
Joseph Duggar was reportedly responsible for selling the property, which is now pending sale. So, it looks like this was a success for him. Now, the Duggar family will likely be splitting up the money in some way. This may depend on who is responsible for the legal fees.
Katie Joy interprets this news as follows:
“But it proves that the Duggar sons continue to help Josh Duggar’s defense and quest for getting a new trial.”
So, she seems to believe that this is a sign that Joseph Duggar is helping Josh get a new trial in any way possible. It’s unclear how Joseph and many other siblings truly feel, however.
