Bravo Banned Teresa Giudice From Joining ‘DWTS’?
Teresa Giudice made a shocking DWTS confession. She admitted that Bravo banned her from joining the dancing competition. Teresa is one of the 16 contestants on Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars.
Even though many housewives such as Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, NeNe Leakes, and Kim Zolciak-Biermann have competed on the show, Teresa claims a different story. She says that producers banned her from trying out for the show.
The reality star finally snagged a spot and she’s partnered up with Pasha Pashkov. She talked about her experience in a new interview following the premiere night.
RHONJ banned her from dancing?
On the latest episode of Namaste B$tches, Teresa Giudice talked about her experience on Dancing with the Stars. The interview dropped on Wednesday, September 21, but was filmed before the premiere. She admitted that RHONJ execs banned her from appearing on the long-running series. Teresa told host Melissa Pfeister how she finally got the gig. It was a long time coming for the controversial star.
The television personality remembers the time she got the call. Teresa was currently on her honeymoon with her husband Luis Ruelas. The two traveled to Greece, where they also got engaged. Over the summer, they wed in a lavish New Jersey ceremony. Teresa admitted this wasn’t the first time she got the call.
“No, I was asked before. I was asked when I came home from prison, I was asked,” Teresa Giudice explained. “That was the first time. And I couldn’t because I had to be on Bravo first.”
The network wanted her to film RHONJ before appearing on DWTS. This could’ve been Teresa’s moment to redeem herself after her prison sentencing. Bravo refused her from appearing on the ABC series. She noted that it took place “five, six years ago.”
Regardless, Teresa Giudice feels that everything worked out in her favor. At the time, she was still serving her prison sentence. While Teresa was excited to finally join the show, she was uncertain about making the commitment. This meant she had to be away from her family for the next three months.
Teresa Giudice feels everything “worked out” in her favor
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star thinks everything “worked out.” Even if Bravo was the one who made the final call. At the time, the network had plans to film Teresa Giudice the moment she got out of prison. She also had a follow-up interview with Andy Cohen on a special episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Thanks to Bravo’s decision, she feels that everything “worked out” in her favor. Teresa was asked another time before joining Season 31, but it “never worked out” due to her schedule. Now that she’s newly married and not filming RHONJ, she can make time for dancing. Teresa made her debut on Monday, September 19, but she nearly stumbled on the ballroom floor.
