Will ‘DWTS’ Season 31 Be On YouTube?
DWTS Season 31 is on Disney+ this year for the first time ever. The past 30 Seasons aired for free on ABC, but things are a little different this year. Many fans have opted to boycott this season due to the platform shift but are still interested to see how this year’s competitors perform.
In the past, the official Dancing With The Stars YouTube channel uploaded videos of each performance after it played on live TV. But will that happen this year? Keep reading to find out more.
Fans want to know if DWTS Season 31 performances will be available to watch on YouTube
DWTS Season 31 officially premiered on Disney+ at 8 PM on September 19. All summer long, fans have waited to see what the newest cast will bring to the table. And there were many amazing performances to get excited about!
Daniel Durant became the first deaf actor to perform on stage. He and his partner Britt Stewart completely blew the audience out of the water. But will Dancing With The Stars fans be able to watch this performance and others on YouTube after the episode ends?
Sadly, it seems as if the official Dancing With The Stars YouTube channel will not upload performances this year. The show did this in the past when it was free to watch on ABC. But now that it’s on a paid streaming platform, it doesn’t appear that the show’s exec team wants to give content away for free.
But as fans have seen in the past, things can definitely change. It’s always possible that the exec team will change their minds if enough fans speak up. Time will tell what happens next.
The executive team makes other adjustments for Season 31
Many fans are disappointed to learn that they won’t be able to watch new episodes on YouTube, but there is some good news. Dancing With The Stars has expanded voting access for Season 31. Now, Canadian fans will be able to vote for their favorite contestants.
Fans that have a Disney+ subscription will also be able to rewatch the new episodes whenever they want to. Subscribers will be able to pause, rewind, and rewatch the show to their heart’s content.
The first episode is now over, but there’s a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.
If you want to catch the next episode of Dancing With The Stars, tune into Disney+ at 8 PM eastern time. Next week is Elvis Night and will have the second elimination of the season.
