Zac Efron Admits He Is Happy Alone & The Way That He Is
Zac Efron is one of the most handsome actors in Hollywood. He has appealed to people of all ages and spanned the spectrum from comedy to drama. Plus, no one can forget how he won Disney hearts in High School Musical. Now, the 34-year-old is getting candid about his love life and being comfortable in his own skin. Read on to find out how he is happiest.
Zac Efron, Happy By His Lonesome
The actor has dated some of the most gorgeous actresses out there. During his HSM days, he was involved with Vanessa Hudgens. They were the perfect duo, on and off camera. However, after a handful of years, the two called it quits. He proceeded to date the likes of Lilly Collins and Michelle Rodriguez. So, what is his status now? Zac is actually single and he is not mad about it. He chatted with Men’s Health and did note that he wished he had more to share about his love life.
“I’ve really been taking time to focus on, you know, self- fulfillment and trying to find my groove. I know that probably when I meet the right person, it’s going to be when I least expect it.” Additionally, Zac notes that he is not one to go out in large groups. He seems to prefer small settings or he feels uncomfortable. Yet, his hopefulness for the future and its endless possibilities are quite charming. Zac also took the time to address his body which he has gone to extremes for perfection.
Comfortable In His Own Skin
Fans may recall that Zac Efron was cast in the big screen adaption of the television show Baywatch. There, he played the role of Matt Brody and was largely shirtless for the part. However, getting into such impeccable shape took a toll on him and he does not look back fondly on being that sculpted. “That Baywatch look, I don’t know if that’s really attainable. There’s just too little water in the skin. Like, it’s fake; it looks CGI’d,” Zac told Men’s Health. He went on to add: “And that required Lasix, powerful diuretics, to achieve. So I don’t need to do that. I much prefer to have an extra, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat.”
It was not so much the body that he does not miss. He claims it was the intense training he could definitely do without. The Baywatch lifestyle not only caused insomnia but also depression. So, it’s probably best that he takes on roles where he does not have to lose himself like that again. It seems like he has finally found a happy and healthy balance. Good for you, Zac.
