NCIS star suffers deadly stroke, retired from acting
It was a year ago that the NCIS star suffered from a deadly stroke that nearly killed her. A year prior to suffering from her stroke, the actress announced that she was done acting. As fans recall, Pauley Perrette won the hearts of people everywhere when she stepped into the role of forensic scientist Abby Sciuto for 15 years.
Technically, the actress retired from acting when she left NCIS. She, however, ended up stepping back into acting when she was offered the incredible opportunity to be the star of the hilarious sitcom called Broke. Sadly, the sitcom didn’t last long and was canceled after a single season.
Pauley Perrette shares heartbreaking update on recovery
On September 2nd, the former NCIS star took to Twitter to share a heartbreaking update on her recovery from her deadly stroke. Pauley Perrette admits the past few years haven’t been kind to her. She’s lost a lot of people she loved dearly including her father and her cousin Wayne. When she suffered the deadly stroke, she also very nearly lost herself. Pauley Perrette, however, has pushed past both the stroke and the heartbreaking losses. And, she’s feeling stronger than ever.
She penned: “Yet still a survivor after this traumatic life I’ve been given so far… And still so grateful, Still so full of faith, And STILL HERE!”
Pauley Perrette attached a video to her tweet where she talked a little more about all of the struggles she’s endured. The former NCIS star admits she’s cheated death more times than she can count recently. She noted she was a survivor of domestic assault, a rape survivor, she survived a deadly allergic reaction to hair dye, she’s survived extreme food allergies, and she survived behind attacked by a “crazy homeless person.”
Pauley, however, admits she’s gone through a lot of things that are worse than nearly dying from a stroke in the past two years. She changed “but I’m still here” several times in her video before blessing her followers and friends as her video ended.

Pauley, you’re as beautiful as ever. Stay safe, be strong and keep your love going. I love you.
Faith gets us through the rough times.
She is a great example to others.
I really don’t like it when the tabloids say things like deadly stroke. It wasn’t a deadly stroke because she’s still alive. I’m glad that she’s alive. However, it was a nearly deadly stroke. Please post things correctly
“Fatal stroke” means it killed her. “Deadly stroke” means it nearly killed her or could have killed her. Deadly is defined as something that could kill. If you are going to correct me, look up the definition of the word and make sure you are right in suggesting the correction first 🙂
