‘Bringing Up Bates:’ Evan Films Carlin’s Seizures, Fans Disgusted
Bringing Up Bates fans have a lot to say after witnessing Carlin Bates‘ seizures in her weekly vlogs. Her husband, Evan Stewart, has been recording her seizures and sharing them with fans. But this has not been well-received. Keep reading for all of the details.
In case you didn’t know, Carlin has been dealing with seizure-like episodes for the past several months. At this point, she hasn’t received an official diagnosis or treatment, but she is on anti-seizure medications. She’s been in and out of the hospital and has had many tests done. Evan recently lost his job as well.
Now, Bringing Up Bates fans are upset with her husband, Evan, for posting videos of her seizures online.
Evan Stewart shows Carlin Bates’ seizures in his recent videos
On YouTube, Evan and Carlin share weekly vlogs with fans to give them a peek into their lives. Many of their recent videos have featured updates about her health as they go to more appointments and have more tests done.
Along with updating Bringing Up Bates fans, Evan often includes clips of Carlin’s episodes in the videos. Though he’s done this numerous times, the most recent occurrence has left fans disgusted.
Now, it’s worth noting that Carlin’s doctors appreciate the videos of the episodes. However, fans argue that there is a difference between filming the seizures for the doctors to see and including the seizures in weekly videos that hundreds of thousands of people watch.
Bringing Up Bates fans react to the latest video
In last week’s YouTube video, Evan included another seizure. You can see one screenshot of it below.
On Instagram, fans are reacting to this clip. One fan commented, “Please don’t post film of her seizures; give her privacy.❤️🙏”
Someone else added, “Why would you post this?? What is wrong with you?”
“Why do you have to show this. Poor Carlin needs help and privacy,” said a Bringing Up Bates fan.
Yet another upset fan commented, “Why would you film that? Shows that you only care about views and not the actual humans that is your wife!”
It sounds like many fans get emotional after watching these scary seizure videos. One of Carlin’s followers said, “It makes me cry immediately when he shares one of your seizures. So many prayers for all of you!”
As we reported, several fans are upset that Carlin’s two-year-old daughter, Layla, witnessed this most recent episode. One fan said, “So sad for Layla to see this. Someone should of moved her.”
