Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo’s Book Ratings Plummet
Former Counting On stars Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo released a new children’s book, You Can Shine So Bright, last week. But it looks like things aren’t going so well, based on the book’s ratings. Keep reading to get all of the details.
Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo’s Recent Venture
If you didn’t know, the children’s book is the second book that the former Counting On stars have released. They previously wrote a memoir called The Hope We Hold. It looks like this is one way they are making money now that their family’s show has officially ended.
Because the Duggars have such a large platform, it’s possible for Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo to make a decent amount of money selling their books.
As we reported last week, Jinger and Jeremy’s new book was released recently. Now, fans can purchase it from Amazon and other bookstores. However, their children’s book may not be so successful, based on some of the reviews coming in.
TV Shows Ace previously reported that the Vuolos were under fire for a couple of reasons, including a lack of inclusivity and the promotion of harmful stereotypes.
The Book’s Ratings Plummet
At the time of publishing this article, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo’s book had a total of 53 reviews with an average rating of 2.4/5 stars on Amazon.
Below, you can see a screenshot of the Amazon listing, which notes the overall rating. It’s worth noting that the book is the number one new release in the “Children’s Christian Friendship Fiction” genre. So, it looks like they are selling a good number of copies.
Once buyers actually started receiving the book, though, they didn’t seem to be too pleased with the content.
In one review, a reader wrote, “What on actual earth!? The dark skinned girl? Of COURSE, she’s the one to steal.”
Someone else wrote, “But OMG why oh why didn’t someone read this book before ir was published? The way they demean people with different abilities and make the only child of color the villain is astounding.”
Fans will have to wait and see what happens with Jinger and Jeremy’s book moving forward. It’s possible that these ratings will affect the number of sales they end up making.
So, will you be purchasing Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo’s new book? Do these ratings shock you? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more news about the Duggar family.
