No one has seen Kirsten Brueggeman since the night of January 2, 2021. She was last spotted in a YMCA parking lot that night before going missing. Now, an episode of Disappeared will focus on the mystery surrounding the Indianapolis woman’s disappearance.
True crime shows like Dateline and Disappeared sometimes lead to answers. Kirsten’s family hopes they will receive more answers soon enough.
Disappeared hopes to shed light on the disappearance of Kirsten Brueggeman
The Disappeared Season 10 premiere is entitled “Vanished in the Night” and tells Kirsten Brueggeman’s story. She was 26 years old at the time of her disappearance.
According to her parents, Kirsten went out the night prior to her disappearance. She went to Manley’s Irish Mutt in Indianapolis with some friends but left after they fought with each other. Security cameras showed Kirsten in a YMCA parking lot in the early hours of the morning. She was never seen again.
An Indianapolis CBS affiliate managed to speak to Kirsten’s parents, Rex and Lisa Brueggeman. Right from the start, Lisa knew that something was very wrong.
“Call it mother’s intuition, but I felt like something bad had really happened,” Lisa recalled. “I woke up at about 12:30, about the same time her phone went off, and that’s when I first tried to call her and her phone was off.”
Kirsten’s parents don’t believe she left on her own. She left behind her dog, who she absolutely adored. Now, the family just wants answers. They’re offering a $10,000 reward for any credible information that leads to Kirsten’s whereabouts. In the days following her disappearance, the Brueggemans also hired a private investigator to find their daughter.
So far, there don’t seem to be many leads regarding the case. But when the new Disappeared episode premieres, that will hopefully change. The family isn’t willing to give up on Kirsten.
