What Is Hallmark’s Dating The Delaneys About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Maggie Delaney (Boston) is a divorced mother who seems content to remain single. However, after learning her ex-husband is getting remarried, things start to change.
Her mother Barb (Kruper) and teen daughter Emma (Christie) encourage Maggie to get out there and date. She even gets help from an unlikely source. Michael (Campbell) is the single father of her son’s friend. He offers to help her prepare for a date by going on a “practice date” with her.
Maggie has a lot going on. She needs to prepare for her upcoming television interview on a local program. This is to spotlight her bakery, Sweet Sensations. Michael also volunteers his public relations expertise to get her prepared for the press.
Although Maggie’s dating adventures bring mixed results not everything is negative. Maggie and Michael wind up spending more time together. Subsequently, their friendship is turning into something much more.
Meanwhile, Barb and Emma begin romances of their own.
“As these three generations of women explore the highs and lows of modern dating, they learn that love and romance can be found at any age…and sometimes where you least expect it.”
