Is Jessa Seewald treating each of her kids differently?

As TV Shows Ace reported, Duggar fans recently dug up photos and videos from Ivy’s birthday in May. Jessa was then roasted for giving her daughter a donut with a birthday candle in a paper bowl. Fans thought this was a low-effort attempt by the mom of four.

After discovering this photo, fans dug a little deeper and found the YouTube video Jessa Seewald uploaded for her son, Spurgeon’s birthday. As you can see in the photo below, Spurgeon enjoyed a steak dinner while turning six years old in November 2021.

There is quite a big difference between a donut in a paper bowl and a steak dinner at a restaurant.

Duggar fans rip the mom of four.

On Reddit, Duggar fans and critics are coming for Jessa Seewald and calling out her display of favoritism. Several fans are convinced that this is proof that Spurgeon is Jessa’s favorite child. One fan says, “First born son. He will always get the top notch treatment, given how Jessa was raised. She and Ben will treat him like Jim Bob and Michelle treats Josh.”

Another picks up on “Jessa’s obvious favoritism towards him.”

However, some fans point out that Ivy might have requested a donut. Maybe the three-year-old doesn’t necessarily enjoy eating out or was very excited to eat a donut on her special day.

Someone writes, “Okay, but they’re wildly different ages. I can’t imagine Ivy enjoying Spurgeon’s birthday dinner. A donut is something that’s exciting for a 3 year old.”
