MCU: Elizabeth Olsen To Return As Scarlet Witch?

Elizbeth Olsen still part of the MCU?

Elizabeth Olsen’s portrayal of Wanda Maximoff and the Scarlet Witch has been a hit with Marvel fans. There were hints about her character during the conclusion of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. According to a new report, Elizabeth Olsen will return for another MCU project.

During the Comic-Con International in San Diego 2022 presentation for Marvel Animation, House of Ideas shared the Season 2 episodes of What If…? They confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen will voice Maximoff in the animated series. While she’s not returning in a blockbuster movie, fans will be pleased to hear her voice on the show.

The episode is titled “What If Captain Carter Fought the Hydra Stomper.” Captain Steven Grant “Steve” Rogers also makes a return in his iconic armor. But, he’s nothing like Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In this case, he will go up against Captain Carter and her allies.

That same presentation also showed a preview of Season 2 of What If….? which features Iron Man traveling to Sakaar. It’s a play on popular films like Avengers: Infinity War, Mad Max, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Black Panther also made an appearance in the preview, but there was no audio to reveal its role in the series. In similar news, What If….? has been renewed for Season 3.

What If…? is a series that explores the mutil-layered Marvel Cinematic Universe. It offers alternative storylines that could take place within the cinematic universe. Some of them include major moments, such as “What If…Captain Carter Was the First Avenger?” or “What If… Ultron Won?”

Elizabeth Olsen isn’t the only one who reprised her character on the show. The series features many of the stars of the MCU films.
