Hallmark Alum Lori Loughlin Gives First Interview Since Scandal
Fuller House alum, Lori Loughlin gave her first interview since the college admissions scandal. Why was she interviewed and what did the WCTH alum have to say?
Lori Loughlin Admits To Being ‘Down And Broken’ During Scandal
On Saturday, Lori Loughlin was interviewed for the first time since the Operation Varsity Blues scandal that found her serving time, and losing all of her acting gigs with Hallmark and Fuller House.
According to US Magazine, Loughlin spoke at the Lead With Love 3 telethon in Los Angeles. Broadcast on KTLA-5, this telethon was to raise awareness of food insecurity.
There, the 57-year-old actress talked about working with Project Angel Food. She admitted that she felt “down and broken,” but the organization welcomed her with no reservation.
They have welcomed me with such open arms at a time when I was feeling particularly down and broken. That’s how I found a home here, and that’s what I feel like they did for me, and that’s why I’m so proud to be here and working with this organization, because they really do care. It’s really a community.”
Project Angel Food Is About ‘Loving People And Helping People’
Lori Loughlin revealed that she has been working with Project Angel Food for 18 months now. She began to volunteer there as part of her court-appointed community service.
I’ve been working with Project Angel Food for a year and a half now, and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
She long ago fulfilled her requirement but continues to volunteer for this worthwhile organization.
It’s more than just feeding people, it’s about loving people and helping people. And I think, that is so important, and I am so proud to be a part of Project Angel Food.
What Does Lori Loughlin Do At Project Angel Food?
Over the past year and a half, what has she done for the non-profit organization? Sounds like everything. She has bagged and packed food, and she has delivered food to shut-ins.
I got to work everywhere — packed a lot of cereal, and I’ve packed a lot of fruit. Bags and bags of fruit. My favorite is doing the deliveries: I have the same delivery route, once a week, and I see the same people, and it’s so nice to make that connection with those people. Often, they are unable to leave their homes.
