Was Michelle Young blindsided by her split from Nayte Olukoya?
US Weekly shared what Michelle Young had to say in regards to her engagement with Nayte Olukoya ending. There were and still are many fans who felt like Michelle made the wrong choice during her finale. Some believed Nayte to be a player and not really in it for the right reasons. Were they right? Nobody knows for sure.
The couple announced their split to the public on June 17. A statement was released saying they began the show looking for their soulmate and best friend. The statement also said that sometimes as time passes one realizes someone they hold dear is not the person they are meant to spend forever with.
After the announcement, Nayte was accused of cheating. He denied the allegations pointing out that not every breakup needs someone to blame. Nayte said, “Not every breakup needs to have someone to blame. Yes, many of you seem to paint me as a red flag/ f—k boy … But I’m actually a decent guy, and I only want to continue getting better. As we should all want for ourselves.”
But, was Michelle blindsided by their split? She didn’t directly say yes but her words said everything. She said, “I will say this is not something that I foresaw and I’ll leave it there.”
She’s trying to heal
Michelle also noted that she’s trying to heal. She said she stepped away from social media lately because it’s hard for her to post things when she’s not okay.
Michelle said, “Breakups suck. Breakups are awful. They hurt, right? And I think what’s so difficult is that it sometimes feels like it’s not in your control. You wake up and you some days you just feel like, ‘OK, I just have to have time pass … give it time,’ but like, you can’t always speed up that time. You can’t always speed up healing, you can put in the work, but you can’t always speed it up.”
She went on to say this is not how her story ends. While she’s not mentally or emotionally healed she will keep going. Michelle will keep going and not stop until she gets her happily ever after and all that she deserves.
In the meantime, Michelle has tons of support from fans and fellow Bachelor alums.
