Austin & Joy Forsyth’s Dangerous Parenting Choices Leave Fans Horrified
Counting On fans are horrified by Austin and Joy Forsyth’s parenting decisions. In the past, the couple has been questioned online for the way they raise their children. Keep reading to see what fans are worried about and what they are saying.
If you didn’t know, Joy and Austin have two kids. Their son, Gideon, is four years old. Their daughter, Evelyn, will be two years old in August. Fans suspect another baby is on the way, though the Duggar family has not confirmed this.
Though TLC canceled Counting On, fans are still keeping up with Joy and Austin’s family on social media. The couple also posts videos on YouTube for fans to see. While Joy and Austin seem to enjoy sharing their lives with fans online, this also means they are criticized from time to time.
Austin & Joy Forsyth’s parenting choices resurface.
A couple of old snaps of Austin and Joy Forsyth’s family have surfaced online. In one, Austin is on a zipline with his son in his arms. Along with sharing the photo on his Instagram stories, Austin wrote, “He’s harnessed in and has no fear. Love my little man.”
This was originally posted on Instagram a year or two ago. So, Gideon might have only been two or three years old.
In another clip, on the couple’s YouTube channel, there was a hunting rifle on their kitchen table. As you can see, it’s within Gideon’s reach.
Duggar fans are horrified by these snaps.
On Reddit, Duggar fans and critics are talking about the way that Austin and Joy Forsyth parent their children. They believe that, based on these photos, the kids might be in dangerous situations at times.
Some are also wondering how Gideon would have been allowed on the ziplines. Someone else points out that it could have been at Austin’s family’s camp. So, Austin may not have adhered to any age requirements or safety guidelines. This might also explain why Austin is wearing a helmet and Gideon is not.
One Duggar fan writes, “An accident waiting to happen. Child endangerment to the max.” Someone else says that these photos give them “anxiety.”
Fans and critics hope that Austin and Joy’s kids stay safe despite being in these potentially dangerous situations. Someone adds, “Joystin definitely win most likely to have kids removed by cps in the Duggar yearbook.”

If child is safe, I don’t see any issues. I just feel maybe he should of had a helmet on like Austin.
