‘Love Island’: Josh & Shannon’s Relationship Couldn’t Work, Why?
Love Island USA’s Josh Goldstein and Shannon St. Clair seemed like a strong couple. Though they left early on in the season due to personal issues, they lasted a long time afterward. They were one of the last few couples from the third season who made their relationship work in the real world.
Josh and Shannon were smitten with one another from the start. They couple up from the very first week. Though they had trust issues early on, they overcame them quickly thanks to the infamous Casa Amora test. Sadly, Josh’s sister passed away and he left the show to be with his family. Shannon decided to follow him back home instead of staying in the villa to compete for the cash prize.
Love Island USA’s remaining couple ends their relationship
Shannon and Josh released a joint statement on Instagram. They announced their split, much to the dismay of Love Island USA fans who were rooting for them. However, some fans noticed that Josh remained in Florida, as Shannon moved back to Philadelphia. The pair became fan favorites after they defeated the odds in Season 3. Love Island fans fell in love with them because they were the one genuine couple on the show that stuck it out.
“As you guys know, Shannon has been in PA the last few weeks supporting her sister with the birth of her niece,” the statement reads. “She’s been figuring out her next career move, and has always had a passion for skincare.”
Shannon has plans to remain in Philadelphia to pursue her new career as an esthetician. As for Josh, he wants to become a personal trainer. He just started his studies online as he stays in Florida. Ultimately, a long-distance relationship was not an option, which has caused them to go their separate ways.
“It certainly has been hard being apart, and we’ve been trying to take the right steps to further both of our careers,” the Love Islanders revealed. “We have created so many memories and achievements together over this past year.”
Josh and Shannon cherish their time together
They have no regrets over their blossoming romance. Josh and Shannon cherish the time they spent together during and after Love Island USA. However, this news comes as a shock to Love Island fans who thought they were going to last for a long time. The exes also claim there is “no bad blood” between them.
Even though they argued a lot on Love Island USA, they hardly fought in real life. They will still have each other’s friendship since they became “best friends” after being on the show. Josh and Shannon are rooting for each other’s success. Love Island fans are still holding out hope that they will reunite one day.
