Sister Wives fans know that there are multiple members of the Brown family that are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Both Gwendlyn and Mariah Brown are out, proud, and celebrated Pride in their own way this past week.

So why weren’t they part of TLC’s Pride float? Many fans noticed that Sister Wives wasn’t represented on the float, but several other shows were.

Sister Wives fans really missed seeing members of the Brown family in the DC Pride Parade

Fans are generally happy to see diverse representation from their favorite networks. The TLC Pride Parade float did feature many members of the LGBTQ+ community, but no one from Sister Wives. So what exactly happened here?

“There were no Browns featured on the TLC float in the DC Pride Parade this weekend,” the original Reddit user posted. They shared a video clip of the Pride float with several TLC figures — but no Sister Wives stars.

Parts of the video are grainy, so it’s difficult to determine who was on the float for certain. Reddit users managed to identify Randy from Say Yes To The Dress, Whitney Way Thore, and Shauna Rae.

One fan pointed out that Mariah Brown and her partner Audrey Kriss would have made great additions to the float. But someone else pointed out that they’ve stepped away from the show in recent years. Even if TLC asked them to be on the float, they might not have wanted to be there.

Gwendlyn Brown identifies as bisexual and has a girlfriend. But she hasn’t been open about her identity for long, so it’s possible that TLC just didn’t know about her when they started making their Pride Parade plans.

The Brown daughters celebrate Pride on their own

Gwendlyn and Mariah didn’t make it to the parade in DC, but they still definitely celebrated in their own way. Both women uploaded photos of themselves and their partners to social media.

Mariah and Audrey reportedly spent Pride in Salt Lake City. Meanwhile, Gwendlyn and her girlfriend Noël appeared to attend Pride in Los Angeles. Their smiles say it all — they couldn’t be happier to celebrate their love openly.
