Latest ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 News Means They Are Going Back In Time
Yellowstone just shared some casting news that brings a few hints of what fans should expect in Season 5. This even hints at what show creator Taylor Sheridan may have up his sleeve for this upcoming season.

Josh Lucas Returns To Yellowstone Season 5 For Flashback
According to Deadline, Yellowstone Season 5 is bringing back a few reoccurring cast members. Rogers and Silverstein were last on the Paramount series back in 2020, while Lucas was last on in 2019.
That means some of the supersized Season 5 will include some flashbacks.
In addition, there is more recurring cast this season, including Kai Caster, Lainey Wilson, Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri. Caster is portraying a young cowboy, Rowdy. Wilson is portraying a musician named Abby. Lastly, Olivieri will portray “corporate shark” Sarah Atwood.
Lastly, two recurring players have now been upgraded to series regulars. They are Mo Brings Plenty (Mo), and Wendy Moniz (Governor Lynelle Perry). Both actors have been on the series from the start as recurring. Now there will be more screen time for these two fan favorites.

Who all is returning for Yellowstone Season 5? Firstly, Kevin Costner is returning as John Dutton. Other Duttons coming back include Kelly Reilly (Beth), Luke Grimes (Kayce), and Wes Bentley (Jamie).

When Is Yellowstone Season 5 Premiere?
The premiere of Yellowstone Season 5 is on Sunday, November 13, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Moreover, Paramount has ordered a supersized season. This will be 14 episodes long, and the longest season of the series.
In addition, they are dividing the season into two equal parts. That means each part will have seven episodes. The first part will premiere on November 13, and air on consecutive Sundays, with the first part’s finale on Sunday, December 25.
Paramount has not announced when the second half will premiere.
Series that have had seasons divided into two parts like this have taken advantage of the opportunity for more drama with two finale episodes. A clever writer like Taylor Sheridan could certainly use this to tell stories and to even time jump.
